Heritage Jerky

Heritage Jerky, a new jerky company, came to me with a need for a brand. Started with creating a logo and business cards. Then moved onto creating their packaging and some other materials. Lastly I finished their e-commerce site.

Heritage Jerky - Brand, Packaging, and E-Commerce Design

The Challenge
Heritage Jerky was a new jerky company that needed a full creative identity to launch successfully. The challenge was to develop a brand that felt authentic, bold, and approachable while clearly communicating flavor, spice levels, and product variety.

The Approach
I focused on building a flexible brand system that could work across packaging, print, and digital. The goal was to make each flavor instantly recognizable while visually connecting to the jerky product itself.

The Execution

  • Designed the logo and business cards to establish a strong, approachable visual identity
  • Developed packaging for multiple flavors using distinct colors, icons, and a consistent font system
  • Incorporated visual elements like an illustrated cow showing beef cuts and generic butcher motifs such as knives
  • Created a 1-4 pepper system to indicate spiciness on the packaging
  • Built an e-commerce website to showcase products and enable online sales

The Impact
The cohesive brand and packaging system made Heritage Jerky visually memorable, clearly communicated flavor and spice information, and supported a professional launch both online and on-shelf.
