As Creative Director, I developed the "Sakura College Graduate Program Branding Guidelines," crafting a visual and conceptual framework inspired by the symbolism of cherry blossoms. This included designing the logo, selecting the color palette, and creating compelling messaging to attract and inspire college graduates pursuing careers in automation engineering and technical sales.

Omron - Sakura College Graduate Program Branding
The Challenge
Omron wanted to create a distinct identity for its new College Graduate Program that would inspire young talent to pursue careers in automation engineering and technical sales. The challenge was to develop a name, look, and message that felt authentic to Omron’s Japanese heritage while also connecting emotionally with graduates starting their careers.
The Strategy
I drew inspiration from Omron’s roots in Japan and the symbolism of the cherry blossom, or “sakura,” which represents growth, renewal, and new beginnings. This made “Sakura” the perfect name for the program, aligning seamlessly with the graduates’ journey of planting roots and flourishing in their careers.
The Execution
I created the Sakura College Graduate Program Branding Guidelines, which included:
- A logo where the circle at the center of the blossom subtly echoes the Omron “O,” tying the new identity back to the parent brand
- A fresh, uplifting color palette inspired by spring and renewal
- Messaging that spoke directly to graduates, highlighting growth, opportunity, and impact
- A clear framework for applying the identity across recruitment campaigns and training materials
The Impact
The Sakura branding gave Omron a meaningful, visually striking way to connect with graduates. The combination of name, symbol, and messaging created a story of growth and opportunity that stood out in the competitive recruitment space while staying true to Omron’s heritage and values.
