Omron Healthcare — Social Media Guidelines

The Challenge
The challenge was creating a cohesive and consistent brand identity for Omron across all social media platforms while also making content creation more manageable as the team’s workload increased. The goal was to provide clear guidance and practical tools that ensured every post reflected Omron’s voice, visual style, and messaging strategy, while helping the team work more efficiently.

Research & Insight
Reviewing Omron’s existing social presence and the competitive landscape, it was clear that the brand was credible and trusted, but its content varied in tone, look, and format across platforms. These inconsistencies made it harder to build a unified, recognizable presence. At the same time, as the team’s workload grew, there was a clear need for structured guidelines and ready-to-use templates to make content creation faster and more efficient.

The Strategy
The strategy was to develop a comprehensive social media guide that standardized the brand across platforms and provided practical tools for creating consistent, engaging content. By including templates for common post types, both static and animated, the guide could save time for internal teams and external partners while maintaining brand quality.

The Execution
I created the Omron Social Media Guidelines as a detailed playbook, including:

  • Brand Voice: Tone, messaging hierarchy, and storytelling approach
  • Visual Standards: Color, typography, imagery, and iconography guidance
  • Templates: Ready-to-use layouts for static and animated posts, designed for efficiency and consistency
  • Best Practices: Tips for platform-specific content, engagement, and formatting

Creating templates was especially impactful. As the social team became busier, these templates allowed both internal teams and outside partners to produce content quickly without sacrificing quality. Templates were designed to work for multiple formats, so a single design could be adapted as a static post, story, or short animation.

The Impact

  • Established a clear, cohesive social identity across platforms
  • Streamlined content creation for internal and external teams
  • Saved significant time as the social team scaled up
  • Maintained high-quality, engaging posts that reinforced Omron’s credibility and professionalism
